I remember Gary Willis, I believe he was in my 6th grade class at TJ Lee Elementary in Irving.

I recall he was shy but quick to smile.  Never caused any trouble or drew any attention to himself.  From what I read here, he must have been a fine man, and I regret I didn't know him as an adult.  My sympathies to his family, 66 is TOO YOUNG for such a good guy.

Gary Willis was a good-looking, polite classmate.  I'm so sorry he died at such a young age and pray he didn't suffer.  May God's Light Perpetual shine on him and his family as they work through their grief.  I'm 66 now too and when one of your classmates passes, it brings my mortality into reality.

Gary was not only a MacArthur graduate friend of mine. Gary, myself and Mac alumni Gerald Howerton worked together at the A&P grocery store on Rochelle and Story Road during high school. Gary and I lived just a block apart, my family on Cochran and his on Cunningham. I knew his family well and he also knew mine! Gary was one of the most wonderful friends anyone could ever have! I know that Gary suffered greatly in the end but we stayed in contact as FB friends. My sincerest condolences to his family. I know that Gary loved all of them, especially his grandchildren! RIP my friend as you are reunited with your parents in a much better place!

Gary fought the good fight, but that nasy ol' cancer finally won out. So, so glad he's no longer in pain.  The last time I saw Gary was at one of our milestone reunions.  I'm glad we had a chance to visit for a while.  I remember us having a few classes together.  And while we didn't run in the same circles, we always greated each other in the halls and I considered him a friend.   I'm sure gonna miss him on FB.  He carried that good sense of humor right to the end.
