I was not aware that Howard passed away.  I played some with Howard while in Junior and high school.  He played bass and guitar and I was just learning to play drums.  I remember those days as being a lot of fun with a learning experience.  Rest well Howard.

When I was a paperboy delivering the Irving Daily News, I would deliver the paper to Howard's family home in Sherwood Forest.   He would often be out tossing a football in his front yard with the neighborhood kids.  We would chat about school and girls in the neighborhood.  I remember Howard saying he wanted to be an FBI agent and had even gotten to meet an agent which I thought was so cool.  We lost touch during high school, but I remember Howard as a friendly and level-headed guy.  I was sorry to learn of his passing.
